AFT Insurance Mall      Why Pet Insurance | Get a Quote         Automobile     Homeowner's/  Condo & Co-op/  Renter's   Umbrella Liability     Pet Insurance   Why Pet Insurance Pet Insurance Squawks Volumes! For years, pet lovers all over the country have jokingly remarked while leaving their veterinarian's office, how they only wish they could get pet health insurance to cover those costly vet bills. Well, wishing may not have made it so, but we have! The AFT Insurance Mall is pleased to offer AFT members and their pets in the Continental Untied States, the pet insurance coverage they've been waiting for. Pet Insurance is now available to AFT members at surprisingly reasonable premiums.  The plan covers more than 6,400 veterinary medical problems and conditions for accidents and illnesses. You may also purchase additional coverage for preventative and routine veterinary care. Under this plan, pet owners can visit any licensed veterinarian, veterinary specialist, or animal hospital, anywhere in the world . Pre-authorization is not required. What Is Covered Many of you will probably be familiar with medical and insurance terms such as: Wellness Care Coverage; deductibles and co-payments per visit; limited prescription coverage; pre-existing conditions and hereditary exclusions; schedule of benefits and other standard medical language. Pet Insurance helps pet owners pay for their veterinary care by reimbursing a portion of their costs for: Office Visits Prescriptions Treatment Lab Fees X-Rays Surgery Veterinary Hospitalization Who Is Covered This plan covers dogs and cats at least six weeks old (there is no upper age limit.) Your premiums for dogs and cats are based on the species, age of pet, and the plan type you select. Birds are insured from the age of 3 months and older and must be in the owner's possession for a minimum of 60 days. Premiums are based on the size of the bird. Separate policies are required for each pet you enroll in the plan, however, discounts are available for multiple-pet families. Easy To Use Pet Insurance works in a similar fashion to standard indemnity health insurance for humans. Once your pet has been seen by a veterinarian, you simply submit your claim form (signed by the veterinarian) along with the original bill and the diagnosis for any covered procedure. Your claim will be processed, and you should receive reimbursement usually within seven days.   Get a Quote       insurance | customer service | get a quote home | privacy/security statement | sitemap | contact us | aft.org MemberNetUSA Inc. © 2004 all rights reserved

Welcome to PREMIER Pet Insurance Your dog or cat is a much-loved friend who keeps you company, makes you laugh, comforts you after a long day - and depends on you for almost every need. Because you care about your pet, providing food, a warm place to sleep and plenty of love seems more like a pleasure than a responsibility. But dogs and cats can be expensive, even when they are healthy. For one thing, the cost of check-ups, immunizations, spaying and neutering add up. And if your pet ever experiences a serious illness and injury, you might one day have to decide whether you can afford to pay for treatment. The alternative could be for your pet to suffer unnecessarily or even be put to sleep. As a caring pet owner, you should never have to make this kind of decision. And thanks to Premier Pet Insurance, you don't have to. Premier Pet Insurance exists to provide you, the caring pet owner, with valuable insurance protection for your dog or cat. One of our three affordable health plans is sure to fit your needs. - Covers illness and injury, plus spaying and neutering. - Covers most routine care (including spaying and neutering) and treatment for illness and injury. - Provides comprehensive coverage for health maintenance (including spaying and neutering) and treatment for illness and injury. Our insurance plans offer you exceptional benefits and flexibility, as you can see below (for more details, see Our Three Pet Insurance Plans ). Each plan offers the following Your choice of veterinarian. Coverage for spaying and neutering. Coverage for many pre-existing illnesses and injuries. Very few treatment exclusions. Easy-to-understand savings. Each year, we begin reimbursing you 80% of your covered expenses as soon as you spend your $100 annual deductible. No enrollment fee. No benefit schedules, which means you will be reimbursed 80% of your veterinarian's total bill (up to your policy's annual limit). Some other pet insurance companies calculate their reimbursement based on a fixed cost per treatment. For instance, if your dog is treated for a ruptured spleen and your veterinarian charges $400 for treatment, Premier will reimburse you 80% of the $400 (if you have already met your $100 deductible that year). But other pet insurance companies calculate reimbursement based on an amount of their choice. So if your bill is $400, these companies might only reimburse you for 80% of $200, $125 or even $75, depending on their benefit schedule -- you will have to pay for any additional veterinary fees out of your own pocket. Immediate coverage for wellness and injuries (there is a 30-day waiting period for illness coverage). Quick and easy claims processing by our customer service department. Your annual premium will depend on the age and health of your pet, where you live and how many pets you wish to insure (we offer discounts for people insuring more than one pet). Also, some dog breeds are more expensive to insure than others. Premier Pet Insurance policies are backed by a member insurance company of the American International Group (AIG), an "A++, Superior" insurer as rated by A.M. Best. AIG is one of the largest and most financially strong insurers in the world, and has offered pet health insurance in the United Kingdom since 1996. You insure your car, your home, your valuables and your health. Why not insure the health of your much-loved pet, whose companionship and love is truly priceless? We welcome you to find out for yourself why our insurance plans are a great choice for people like you who want the very best for their dogs and cats!
