safe auto insurance / Auto Insurance
The problem is that the amount of insurence most states require is very low, too low, and people are lulled into thinking those minimums must be all they need. After all, that's what the states proclaim you need to drive, right? If you get into an accident and you don't have enough insurence, your assets are in jeopardy if you're sued. If the other driver doesn't have enough (or any) insurence, you may not get the payments you deserve and need.
If your looking for a new or used car, 'click' on the above button. We'll send you to the best site for 2001 or 2002 automobiles.
safe auto insurance / Health Insurance
The reality is, purchasing an individual medical policy isn't an easy task. But it's a necessary one. Individual medical policies are much harder to qualify for, are more expensive than group insurence and have more restrictions on coverage than their group counterparts. It's also hard to know where to get started to buy an individual policy. So what do you do?
Let us do most of the work for you and make it as easy as possible for you to make the right affordable maryland insurence choice for you and your loved ones.
safe auto insurance / Home Insurance
safe auto insurance home insurence usually boils down to two crucial concerns: protection and price. Although regulated at the state level, home insurence is more of a national product than is auto insurence, meaning you will find fewer local variations.
safe auto insurance / Life Insurance
Choosing the right type and amount of life insurence involves careful planning. Consider the mortgage your spouse will have to pay, your children's education, funeral expenses, childcare expenses, healthcare, and so on. Expenses quickly add up and $100,000 is often not sufficient to cover all of them. Our licensed professionals can help ease the burden.

Seven Car Insurance Cost-Cutters
Save bucks without sacrificing coverage
By Collette McKenna Parker
Nobody enjoys writing out that monthly check for car insurance. You don't see any return like you do from buying groceries, new furniture or even the electricity you receive from paying your power bill. Unless you're in an accident, you get nothing.
Sobering as this is, you can at least keep your insurance costs down without sacrificing the quality of your policy. Here are seven surefire ways to reduce your monthly payments to your auto's insurer.
1. Shop around. This is, as always, the best way to save money. You can possibly save hundreds, or thousands, of dollars each year.
2. Get a policy with a higher deductible. Should anything happen you'll pay more out of pocket, but chances are the policy will have lower premiums and pay for itself. Go for at least a deductible of $500.
3. If you have an older car, consider dropping collision and comprehensive coverage. Also, when shopping for a car, consider buying a safe model, and one that's "low profile." (Sorry, this eliminates Corvettes.) Insurers generally consider flashy cars more likely to be involved in an accident.
4. Use public transportation. You can pay lower premiums if you live close to your job and don't drive to work that often. People who live in rural areas also have generally lower payments than people who live in traffic-congested cities.
5. Newer cars have upgrades that can lower your premiums. Ask your insurance agent about discounts for automatic seat belts, alarm systems, airbags and antilock brakes.
6. Take a defensive driving course. "It will probably cost $50 up front, but you can save 10 percent of your premiums a year, and it will pay for itself. The class is especially good for teenage drivers," says Terri Cade-Hill, an agent with Insurance.
7. Be a safe driver. A clean driving record will keep costs down. For every speeding ticket and accident report written, your insurance company will consider you a higher risk driver, and you'll be paying for it.

DIGGING
OUT WITH COMMON SENSE
Avoiding
the Stress, Strain & Dangers of Digging Your Car Out
of the Snow
White
Plains, NY, January 10, 1999
Stress,
strains, accidents and other dangerous conditions often
accompany a snowstorm. Although thousands of drivers will
be digging their cars out from under the recent snow,
a sore back, fender-benders and serious injuries don't
have to be the inevitable result. To get off to a safe
start, follow some common sense advice from Response Insurance
that is based on information from the U.S. Department
of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,
the National Center for Statistics & Analysis and the
Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
First
Things First -- Clear the tailpipe first. Dig the
snow away from vehicle's exhaust pipe before you start
your car engine. Don't forget to dig a hole through
the snow to the mid-section of your car's underbody
to allow any leaks from your exhaust system to vent
as well. Without proper ventilation, deadly gases can
quickly build up in the passenger compartment.
See
& Be Seen - Clearing the ice and snow from your
windshield and rear window is a good start, but don't
stop there -- the headlights, taillights and side view
mirrors are essential for visibility. And, don't forget
to clear away snow from the hood and roof, which will
blow onto your front and rear windows again.
Rock
It! - If your digging and spreading of sand near
the wheels still don't have you out - use your car's
weight to your advantage. Flooring the accelerator pedal
rarely helps and can result in an unexpected and potentially
uncontrollably dangerous acceleration. But, by rocking
the car with quick forward and reverse movements you
can often use the weight and force of the car to push
out and over any icy hill.
Avoid
Stress & Strain -- It's tempting to get your car
cleared off in the first attempt but if you're not physically
up to the task take it in steps, bring a friend or hire
a local towing company.
In
a Skid? -- Turn in the direction of the skid. It
may seem counterintuitive at first and even a little
scary when doing it but turning into the skid is your
best chance to regain some traction. If you have anti-lock
brakes, apply firm and continuous pressure. If you do
not have anti-lock brakes, mimic that effect by pumping
the brakes.
Up.and Down
-- When you are heading up an icy or snow covered
hill you'll have the best chance of safely making
it up by approaching it at a slow speed and maintaining
that slow speed at a steady rate. Avoid sudden stops,
quick accelerations and jerky motions. When heading
down shift into a lower gear before making your descent
and maintain a slow steady speed, rather than relying
mostly on your brakes to improve traction.

Safe Auto Insurance to Expand with $1.5M Monroe County Call Center
BY DAN CRAWFORD
BUSINESS FIRST
Safe Auto Insurance Co. is expanding rapidly this year, breaking ground on its second
call center July 12 and planning to increase its work force and revenue by 50 percent each by year-end, officials said.
Gov. Bob Taft participated in a ceremonial groundbreaking for the $1.5 million call
center in Woodsfield in Monroe County, a planned 10,000 square-foot facility that will
employ 150 employees when completed.
Safe Auto employs 300 workers at its 45,000 square-foot headquarters in Whitehall.
The privately held auto insurer reported gross revenue of $50 million last year and is
projected to increase revenue to more than $75 million this year, said company spokesman Michael
Broidy.
The company's ubiquitous television and radio advertising, along with a targeted high-risk market, are primary reasons for the anticipated growth, Broidy said.
"Were serving an underserved market and our marketing is doing very well," Broidy said.
The company was co-founded in i993 by Ari Deshe, its chairman and CEO, and Jon
Diamond, its president. Safe Auto sells its low-cost, bare-bones auto policies in Ohio,
Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida.
Lou Stein, spokesman for the Monroe County Office of Economic Development and Tourism, said Safe Auto's call center will be the second-largest employer in the county, with a population of 15,000 and a May jobless rate of 4.7 percent.
With 2,500 employees, only aluminum manufacturer Ormet Corp. in Hannibal employs more workers in Monroe County, Stein said.
"This is a very significant development for a small county." Stein said.
Since most of the 150 jobs will require training and insurance agent licenses, Stein said they will be
well-paying non-entry-level jobs. Most of the jobs will pay about $10 an hour with full benefits and incentive pay, Stein said.
The state Department of Development awarded nearly $1.4 million in incentives to ensure Safe Auto expanded in Ohio and not in another state where it does business, said
department spokeswoman Maria Smith.
In exchange for expanding in Ohio, Safe Auto will receive a $500,000 business development grant, a $114,000 Ohio Investment in Training Program grant and an 80 percent Job Creation Tax Credit for a 10-year term.
Smith said the 80 percent corporate franchise Lax credit will save the company
$747,162 over its 10-year span. Safe Auto will pay $186,790 in corporate franchise taxes
over that period.
Stein said Safe Auto has been operating in Monroe County since April at a 4,000-square-foot facility not far from the new call center site. The company has hired 51 workers at the temporary facility. They will be transferred to the new facility when it is complete.
